Kristin Jones, M.A., CCC-SLP

Founder, Adult Speech-Language Pathologist

Kristin is passionate about language and communication. She believes that communication and connection are at the foundation of the human experience. She specializes in the treatment of neurological diagnoses that impact speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognitive skills in adolescents and adults. Clinical interests include primary progressive aphasia (PPA), post concussive syndrome, voice, and working with adults with development disabilities. Additionally, they have a profound interest in serving the transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary communities through providing accessible Gender-Affirming Voice Training. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, they are passionate about providing culturally competent care.

Kristin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from The Ohio State University in 2005. During her time pursuing her undergraduate degree, she completed research in the area of acoustic phonetics, more specifically, prosodic prominence and dialectal differences. They obtained their Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The Ohio State University in 2007 and completed a Clinical Fellowship at Pi Beta Phi Rehabilitation Institute at Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center in Nashville, TN immediately following. Throughout the last 15 years, Kristin has worked in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient clinics at major university medical centers including Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Additionally, Kristin has spent time working in home healthcare and skilled nursing facilities. 

Kristin holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, and is licensed to practice in the states of Florida, Ohio, and Tennessee. She holds a number of additional certifications and has completed advanced trainings in:

Kristin currently resides in Nashville with her spouse and three children. They are passionate about social justice and human rights. Kristin enjoys exploring nature, yoga, hiking, rock climbing, vintage clothing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She is active in multiple community advocacy and activist organizations including serving on the board of OCD Tennessee and volunteering at OASIS Center Nashville.
