Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist

Kristy is a speech and language therapist from South Florida, holding a license in speech-language pathology in the state of Tennessee, as well as a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Kristy received her Masters of Arts in Speech and Language Pathology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

As a specialized pediatric SLP, Kristy excels at developing functional strategies that can be used to succeed in all environments. Her approach is holistic and inclusive, considering communication and the well-being of both child and family. Previously, Kristy and her family lived in Denmark for three years, where she owned and operated a company that provided speech and language services to English-speaking clients.

Kristy’s passion lies with early intervention and childhood communication disorders. She has extensive experience with treating and evaluating language delay, articulation/phonological disorders, fluency disorders, voice disorders for children (hypernasal, hyponasal), dyslexia/reading disorders, and social communication disorders, and working with individuals with hearing loss/cochlear implant, cerebral palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and AAC users.

Kristy lives in Nashville with her husband, daughter and dog. She enjoys spending her free time hiking, trying new restaurants, baking and traveling with her family. She loves her job as a speech language pathologist, and can’t wait to help your family find strategies that will expand your child’s communication skills.
